Self-described GOP consultant, TV pundit, campaign runner and extremely adjunct professor Cheri Jacobus recently got into a protracted Twitter tiff with the brilliantly funny libertarian and TV personality Greg Gutfeld.

She took issue with Gutfeld’s berating CNN for going after the purported creator of a popular GIF depicting President Trump body slamming a character representing the network, at a fake scripted professional wrestling event. For some reason, or perhaps no reason, she insinuated that Gutfeld condoned the alleged creator’s other posts, such as one labeling CNN employees with Stars of David.

Twitchy has a rundown of the bizarre exchange.

Perhaps Jacobus feels justified for jumping on Gutfeld because a vicious GIF once attacked and ate her uncle, but her objection seems too much like that of some on the left who are compelled to squeal in protest to silence any person they disagree with, even if it is a gay, Jewish man, or a woman who has the audacity of taking the Second Amendment literally.

Following a production of the play “Hamilton,” star Brandon Dixon called out Vice-President elect Mike Pence, who was in attendance, with this statement:

“We, sir — we — are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights. We truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and work on behalf of all of us. All of us.”

I’m unclear as to who represents the alarmed and anxious “we” on behalf of whom he was ostensibly speaking. Perhaps the royal “we,” referring to the entire cast and crew, who are not amused? I hope they can find a nice safe space and afford the recently discounted Hillary coloring books. If I were a representative of a Broadway play that just came off the highest-grossing season in history, with $1.37 billion in ticket sales, and I wanted to raise awareness about my concerns for the potentially disenfranchised, I wouldn’t make a political statement about it on the dime of the production. Finance an ad campaign. Sell designer safety pins. Produce another play on the topic and charge just $10, so as to be more inclusive. Heck, just make it free admission, and call the play “Sanders.”

Apparently the wearing of safety pins has become the new “hands up, don’t shoot” clarion call among the compassionate enablers sympathizers of those who fear that their whines voices will not be heard, because a man has been elected president who has promised to throw all women, immigrants, people of color, and LGBTQIQA identifiers into non-EPA compliant furnaces.
