Amid Contrived Headlines

So, this one was a gift from the AP. You can read the article here. The first line is what I just had to comment on...

Amid contrived outrage over Benghazi and the improving fortunes of its healthcare reform, the Obama administration could be facing a genuine scandal about its treatment of military veterans that has the potential to attract broad political condemnation of its competence.
Let me fix this for you...

Amid outrage over Benghazi and the contrived improving fortunes of its healthcare reform debacle, the Obama administration could be facing a genuine scandal about its treatment of military veterans that has the potential to attract broad political condemnation of its competence incompetence because basically, the Obama administration looks at true veterans as potential threats to its power and honestly, how many times can we use the word "its" to demonstrate that, yes, we the AP, know when to use an apostrophe. Except in other articles when we use it incorrectly, like ones about why Bush causes cancer.
There AP, fixed it for you.

  1. I wonder how "contrived" the outrage would be if the Benghazi Four had been killed in an abortion clinic bombing. They would have already strung the perpetrator up and be howling for more blood.
