It Could Have Been My Fault

Some days we wake up, get out of bed, and do our morning routine without even thinking about it.  Some days we wake up, get out of bed and have to change our morning routine because something went wrong.  You ran out of toast, the milk went bad and you didn’t buy any more, or the all too common.  A bunch of people stormed the embassy in Libya and killed a couple of people.

Ann coulter wrote in her book “Demonic” about mobs and mob violence.  She hit the nail on the head all too well.  It’s amazing how smart individuals are, yet how dumb groups are.  She gave a few examples of just normal people, got swept up in mobs and did really horrible barbaric things.  This is no different.

I don’t know any of the people who caused, or enacted this event.  I hope I never meet any of them; but its time to stop apologizing for this kind of thing.

My personal theory is the left usually covers this sort of thing up, or downplays it because it’s in their playbook.  Occupy Wall Street, the French revolution, The LA riots.  Any riot for that matter; and of course, any time hippies gather with pot and form a drum circle.  No good comes from any of it.

We need to face some facts; we live in a world where free speech doesn’t exist everywhere.  Many “free” countries even place restrictions on speech.  I don’t know how that’s possible but they do.  We need to double down on ours though.

My first thoughts when I viewed the video that caused the riot were.  “If I would have thought of it first I would have done it”.  This thing could have easily been my fault; and I would have been sad for the loss of life, but happy that I exposed a problem in the world.
