Tactical Nuke: Tuesday, October 16, 2012

• Stay tuned today for my Magnum Opus and conclusion to the series "Understanding the Left". It's posting early this time.

That sounds really good, but it probably stinks. I'm used to writing an attempt at humor, and this is a serious article. So, be forewarned. It uses several big words that I had to look up first.

•  Just a little trade secret...I usually write these things when I am half asleep. I work really hard to find something important to talk about. Or, whatever will pass as something newsy.

Mostly just whatever I can get away with. I'm not lazy, just sleepy. If you don't like it, go to Drudge...because that is where I get this stuff anyway.

• And speaking of Drudge, an article linked there from the Daily Caller says that the Romney campaign is filing a federal suit in Wisconsin to make sure ballots get to the troops and back to Wisconsin and are counted.

This is actually a topic near and dear to my heart, as I have been the victim of the extremely questionable absentee ballot process as a member of the military. I lived in the state of Kentucky for a very short while before I joined the Navy, and unfortunately, this meant that my vote didn't count, as I could never get a ballot soon enough all the way to deep dark jungles of the foreign Asian country of Hawaii within the time frame to fill it out and send it back to be counted.

Seriously, this issue is beyond simple flaws in the absentee ballot process. At the time, and even now, I kinda believe ballots sent to military personnel overseas are purposely delayed or something. I have no other explanation for it, as I could get any kind of mail from the States pretty quickly, but an absentee ballot would arrive very late.

• Carry on.

  1. I'm from Wisconsin, and I had no idea about the absentee ballot problem. Thanks for mentioning it. Just as an aside, some people are funny without even trying. "It uses several big words that I had to look up first" made me laugh out loud. I am thoroughly enjoying your blog and am glad I was introduced to it.

    1. Why thank you. We're just amateurs here (is there now such a thing as professional vs amateur bloggers? Isn't that kind of ironic?), but we do our best.
