Do I Live In a Cave?

I have never heard anything about this. It was dedicated September 11, 2006 and I've never seen a picture or heard a thing about it until today.

It is titled "To the Struggle Against World Terrorism" and the best pictures and information I could find about it were surprisingly here at snopes.com. Apparently, I am not the only one a little dubious about a "monument" that I've never heard of. It seems to me a beautiful and thoughtful gesture. Why is it a secret?

Have you guys heard of it? Seen it?

  1. You've never heard of it because it's in New Jersey, and Snooki wasn't involved.

II heard about it a few years ago, but haven't thought of it since, probably. Most people think of Ground Zero as the place for memorials and such.

I wonder why they put it in New Jersey...

    2. I've never heard of Snooki, either.

From the monuments brochure: "Bayonne [New Jersey] was a fitting location; the city was an arrival point for many NYC evacuees on 9/11, a staging area for rescuers, and offered a direct view of The Statue of Liberty and the former World Trade Center Towers."

The stainless steel tear drop is "lined up with" the Statue of Liberty.
