Nancy Pelosi: “What the President Said Was Completely Accurate”. Other Recent Statements by Pelosi…
#5 HokieGomer:…have caused her nose to grow so long as to prove Archimedes assertion that a lever long enough CAN move the world.
#4 @boston_bubba:…Live, from New York, it’s SATURDAY NIGHT!
#3 Bob B.:…need an mega-dose of Botox to keep straight.
#2 E Pluribus Unum:…I am batman! [one of my favorite commercials of all time :)]

And my favorite straight lines of the day were from walruskkkch:
Nancy Pelosi: “What the President Said Was Completely Accurate”. Other Recent Statements by Pelosi… [she's looking a lot like Joe Isuzu these days. But it's HER. At 30 seconds a piece, you should watch all 3 :)]

walruskkkch:…“I can get me some Anonymiss cookies anytime I want to.” [good luck with that Ms. Pelosi!]
James: …Da**, these are fantastic. Pass me another cookie.
Former Hostage: …I don’t know anybody who prefers homemade tollhouse cookies over Chips Ahoy! [she is CERTIFIABLY CRAZY! I like Oreos on occasion, but Chips Ahoy? UGH.]

My favorite lines yesterday were from can of spam [I couldn't decide which of these lines I liked best, so I combined them :)]:

Here's a new line for you to try:
The entertainers on floats in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade had to be switched due to political incompatibilities. Other switches... include swapping The Grinch in for Santa on the Obamacare float and replacing the giant balloons with unmanned drones.

Here's a new line for you to try:
Monty Python is reuniting for their first show together in 30 years. Your favorite [clean] Monty Python bit...
Without a doubt - SPAM !!!
ReplyDeleteStop... I'm blushing...
DeleteDitto that - SPAM!!!
Deleteor maybe, "I'd like to start an argument"

Cheese Shop.
ReplyDelete... and no one can resist the impulse to laugh upon hearing the words "I wish to register a complaint."
Fish License/Eric the Half-a-bee, no, Nudge Nud...aaaaaugh..........
ReplyDelete,,,or Eric the half-AG
DeleteQuoth the AG, "My brain hurts!"
DeleteFrom the slightly more obscure department, I really liked the episode where they did "It's The Mind", which took a look at deja vu in the form of a television presenter who kept finding himself looping back to the beginning of his segment on deja vu...
ReplyDeleteI have several, if you include the movies. In no particular order.
ReplyDeleteLatin lesson from Life of Brian
Dead Parrot sketch from the show
Political lecture from Holy Grail
Confuse a cat from the show
She's a witch! from Holy Grail
What have the Romans done for us? From Life of Brian
The Pirahna Brothers from the show
Crunchy Frog from the show
Oh hell, you can just say "everything" and be right with Monty Python.
Ditto on the Latin lesson. We homeschool and the wife is teaching the crumbcrunchers Latin. She had never seen it and I showed it to her the other evening. Hillarity ensued.
DeleteOn second thought, my new vote is: "It's a . . . nice Army base you got here, Colonel . . "
ReplyDeleteFrom "Live at the Hollywood Bowl", two I like:
ReplyDelete* DaVinci and The Pope discussing an early version of "The Last Supper" - "What in God's name possessed you to paint this picture with THREE CHRISTS in it?!?!?!"
* Four Yorkshiremen on-upping each other about how tough they had it growing up as kids - "We used to DREAM of living in a lake. 'twuld have been paradise to us..."
I'm a lumberjack... and I'm OK
ReplyDeleteFrom Life of Brian, The Stoning
ReplyDeleteAnd now for something completely different...the obligatory cookie reference!

What is your quest?
ReplyDeleteSo many choices. There is the Hungarian Phrase Book
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akbflkF_1zY
the Fish Slapping Dance (somebody should hit Obama with a dead mackerel)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhJQp-q1Y1s
but the French Knight is still my favorite. Can they hire him to anchor Fox News?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9V7zbWNznbs
and of course the Lumberjack Song.
The Ministry of Silly Walks
ReplyDeleteThe Four Yorkshire Men
ReplyDeleteThe Bruces Sketch (including the Philosopher's Song)
The Parrot Sketch (not entirely clean, Cleese uses the F-bomb at the end)
Soccer match, Long John Silver impersonators vs some Hampshire gynecologists.
ReplyDeleteLeopard of the Yard!
Krelm Toothpaste
Oh man, how could I forget the Olympic Hide and Seek contest and Twit of the Year!
DeleteYeah, Upper-Middle Class Twit of the Year is an absolute classic!
DeleteThe Hollywood Bowl concert film also has a soccer match between Greek and German philosophers that's OK, but not one of their greatest.
How have we missed the Spanish Inquisition? NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tym0MObFpTI

ReplyDeleteI'd leave a comment, but I'm trying not to be seen right now:

I had trouble with Bob B's link. It just took me to the main page. Here's the Black Knight cookie cutter:
ReplyDeletehttp://warpzoneprints.com/all-products/monty-python-black-knight-cookie-cutter
If you get taken to the main page, search "monty python" (without quotes), and you'll see the other cutters available
But they assured me that link would work on day one with no problems!(What is this I and T thing they speak of?) I still stand by my statement that if you like your cookie, you can keep it.
DeleteFavorite sketch? The red one. No, blue. Aaaaaaughhhh
ReplyDeleteI always enjoyed the little film clip at the beginning of the shows where one of them would travel through some terrible situation (like swimming out of the ocean or crawling out of a desert) just to reach the cameraman to say "It's..." and they cut immediately to the show's opening credits. (A lot of work for a joke.)
ReplyDeleteFor us sick SOBs it's the 'Undertaker's Sketch'.
