Nuke the Punchline - She's Gotten So Commercial

Harvey over at IMAO has posted a new straight line of the day, so it is time to choose the winners of the last one:

Nancy Pelosi: “What the President Said Was Completely Accurate”. Other Recent Statements by Pelosi…

#5 HokieGomer:…have caused her nose to grow so long as to prove Archimedes assertion that a lever long enough CAN move the world.

#4 @boston_bubba:…Live, from New York, it’s SATURDAY NIGHT!

#3 Bob B.:…need an mega-dose of Botox to keep straight.

#2 E Pluribus Unum:I am batman! [one of my favorite commercials of all time :)]

And my favorite straight lines of the day were from walruskkkch:

Nancy Pelosi: “What the President Said Was Completely Accurate”. Other Recent Statements by Pelosi… [she's looking a lot like Joe Isuzu these days. But it's HER. At 30 seconds a piece, you should watch all 3 :)]

 Cookies to walruskkkch!

and today's best kiss uppers were  walruskkkch, James, and FormerHostage:

Nancy Pelosi: “What the President Said Was Completely Accurate”. Other Recent Statements by Pelosi…

walruskkkch:…“I can get me some Anonymiss cookies anytime I want to.” [good luck with that Ms. Pelosi!]

James: …Da**, these are fantastic. Pass me another cookie.

Former Hostage: …I don’t know anybody who prefers homemade tollhouse cookies over Chips Ahoy! [she is CERTIFIABLY CRAZY! I like Oreos on occasion, but Chips Ahoy? UGH.]

Kiss up Cookies to walruskkkch,
James and FormerHostage!

My favorite lines yesterday were from can of spam [I couldn't decide which of these lines I liked best, so I combined them :)]:

(haha I almost left the Gov Christie pic here by accident :)

The entertainers on floats in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade had to be switched due to political incompatibilities. Other switches... include swapping The Grinch in for Santa on the Obamacare float and replacing the giant balloons with unmanned drones.

  5. From the slightly more obscure department, I really liked the episode where they did "It's The Mind", which took a look at deja vu in the form of a television presenter who kept finding himself looping back to the beginning of his segment on deja vu...

  6. I have several, if you include the movies. In no particular order.

Latin lesson from Life of Brian
Dead Parrot sketch from the show
    Political lecture from Holy Grail
Confuse a cat from the show
She's a witch! from Holy Grail
What have the Romans done for us? From Life of Brian
The Pirahna Brothers from the show
    Crunchy Frog from the show

Oh hell, you can just say "everything" and be right with Monty Python.

    1. Ditto on the Latin lesson. We homeschool and the wife is teaching the crumbcrunchers Latin. She had never seen it and I showed it to her the other evening. Hillarity ensued.

  8. From "Live at the Hollywood Bowl", two I like:

    * DaVinci and The Pope discussing an early version of "The Last Supper" - "What in God's name possessed you to paint this picture with THREE CHRISTS in it?!?!?!"

    * Four Yorkshiremen on-upping each other about how tough they had it growing up as kids - "We used to DREAM of living in a lake. 'twuld have been paradise to us..."

    2. Yeah, Upper-Middle Class Twit of the Year is an absolute classic!

The Hollywood Bowl concert film also has a soccer match between Greek and German philosophers that's OK, but not one of their greatest.

If you get taken to the main page, search "monty python" (without quotes), and you'll see the other cutters available

  19. I always enjoyed the little film clip at the beginning of the shows where one of them would travel through some terrible situation (like swimming out of the ocean or crawling out of a desert) just to reach the cameraman to say "It's..." and they cut immediately to the show's opening credits. (A lot of work for a joke.)
