Tactical Nuke: Thursday, October 18, 2012

• Hmm...so Obama admitted to the guy, after the debate, who asked that question about declaring the Benghazi attack a terrorist attack, that he did in fact wait a couple weeks to declare it as such. Even though during the debate, Obama tried to make it sound like he said it was a terrorist attack from the start.

So, maybe that question should be a televised do-over. I mean...come on. Obama lied during the debate, and then kinda told the truth in private minutes after.

• Here's the troubling thing about this Benghazi mess. Obama would not have lost many political points if he had just come out in the beginning and said either "we believe this was an act of terror and are working to find those who did it and bring them to justice", or "we aren't sure what happened, but are working to get to the bottom of it".

I mean, either response would have been acceptable. Sure, he would have taken some flak for them, but that would have subsided by now. Instead he went with the "it was a protest spun out of control because of a YouTube video."

Which makes no sense whatsoever. Seriously, I can't for the life of me figure out why he went down that road. If he actually didn't have "enough information", as he claims, then he could have just said so initially.

But he didn't, and he wasn't the only one. So something stinks here...

• Carry on.

    1. I agree. It would have been nice to hear the truth at first. Or later. Or during the debate. But truth is not really his strong suit, is it?
