Making An Art Form Of Cowardice

House Republicans seem to have decided that the best way to protect their personal interests in the ongoing federal budget fight is to run away…..

Senator Cruz and the Republicans in both houses are fighting over whether the Continuing Resolution that would avert a government shutdown will or will not include provisions to defund Obamacare.  Depending on what you read, either Cruz has betrayed his Republican colleagues, or vice versa.  These people need to come to terms with the fact that they are the only ones who can stop Mr. Obama.  It's hard to figure out who's who, but one thing that's clear is that the treachery, regardless of the source, will destroy the Republican's chances in 2014.  This kind of treachery is what you get when people get comfortable with their own cowardice.

The left is good at lying to the American people.  Considering the magnitude of the damage being caused by their ideas, they have good reason to be afraid of the truth.  Congressional RINOS understand this, but they appear to have made an art form of cowardice.  Eric Holder famously said that we have become a nation of cowards.  Turns out he was talking about the government.

Politicians of all stripes make a lot of noise talking about "public service" and how much they personally sacrifice to be in public office.  The truth they all hide from is that there is no honor in politics.  There is no act of treachery or betrayal of which a politician is not capable  They are guided by their own self interest disguised as "national service", and we, the people they are supposedly working for, are the ones who end up paying the price.

Seems like we'd all be better off if the Republicans could reserve their efforts for the guy they're supposed to be trying to stop, Mr. Machiavellian Master Manipulator in Mom Jeans, instead of each other.  If these guys spent half as much energy fighting the real threat to this country as they do trying to discredit the Tea Party, and if they did it in unison, they might get somewhere.

Come on people, somebody has to be the good guys.

Guess it might be too much to ask.  They're all politicians, after all.

Trickery and treachery are the practices of fools that have not courage enough to be honest.
Ben Franklin
