Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has called House Republicans’ attempt to defund Obamacare “irresponsible and futile.”
I'm not the first to make the connection on this, of course, but I couldn't resist.
While Senator Reid and everyone else knows that the Senate won't defund the health care law, this move does put vulnerable senators on the record in support of something that most people don't want.
How many other parallels are there between the concept of the Borg Collective and Obamacare?
One notable difference is the fact that those pushing it don't want it for themselves, either.
“The Affordable Care Act has been the law of the land for three years,” Reid noted.
Well, there has been a lot of former legislation that was the "law of the land" for much longer than three years. Must we be dragged down the road to serfdom, in the name of the common good?
