Never Let A Crisis Go To Waste: Part Eleventy Hundred

So, while the whole nation is dealing with the shock of seeing a mentally ill veteran go off the rails and commit the first mass shooting of 2017, what are some people on the left doing? Politicizing it, of course.

There are... so many things obviously wrong with this, from a debate standpoint it is a false equivelancy and a false dilemma fallacy, pretending the issues of gun control, mental health, and reproductive rights are all of the same priority while simultaneously supposing that as a whole the government can only address one issue at a time.

From a moral perspective it is galling, the way some want to use tragedy and the emotional response people reach in honest empathy for their own political gain is ghoulish. I'm not going to go in to my own views on abortion, that isn't the point, though I will say my views tend there to be on the middle ground. The point is the left once again turns to the phrase "never let a crisis go to waste." Certainly in this case it is in a clumsy, ham fisted way. I don't expect Stacey Wilson Hunt won anyone to her cause with this tweet, though I think it is instructive of the arrogance that exists in  a certain strain of modern liberalism that her statement isn't considered to be beyond the pale.

Those are my two well polished cents, I would love to hear back from some other people in the comment section so get typing people.
