Link of the Unspecified Time Period: ATF Warning to Potential Whistleblowers

From America's Watchtower:

Gunrunner: ATF head threatens potential Fast and Furious whistleblowers with retaliation

From the head of the ATF, Todd Jones:

Choices and consequences means simply that if you make poor choices, that if you don’t abide by the rules, that if you don’t respect the chain of command, if you don’t find the appropriate way to raise your concerns to your leadership, there will be consequences.

Sacre bleu!

So, if you dare to blow the whistle, there will be consequences. Or rather, dere vill be consekvences!

I prefer to read that in a German accent.  Talk about undermining accountability!

I work in the nuclear industry, I am sure I have admitted as much somewhere on this blog. We are trained that whistle-blowing is so important, that even the lowest employee has the right to directly call the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to, well, whistle-blow about something. And we are guaranteed absolutely no consequences for doing so. Why? To ensure absolute accountability for the actions of any nuclear entity.

So, when a government entity, like the ATF, tells their people the direct opposite...well, let's just say that accountability done gone out the window.
