Tactical Nuke: Wednesday, August 22, 2012

• The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff apparently thinks that, if you are a veteran of the armed forces, you should just keep your mouth shut and be apolitical.

Huh?

#1 I don't take orders from you, buddy. I'm a civilian now.

#2 If there are any citizens who deserve their freedoms, including speech, it is people who served to defend those rights.

#3 Since YOU are still in the military, General, why don't you keep YOUR big mouth shut about what private citizens should or shouldn't do.

#4 While I agree that the military should abstain from politics and partisan rhetoric, private citizens who were once in the military have every right, and even a duty to speak freely.

So get off your high-horse General. You're not the boss of me!

• Biden called Republicans "squealing pigs". Classy.

So I guess my theory about a clone Biden was wrong. Or the robot clone broke already. Who knows.

• Akin refused to leave the Senate race in Missouri, after completely ignoring everyone in his own party, the other party, and just about anyone in-between in calls for him to get lost.

So he thinks that makes him anti-establishment or something.

No, Mr. Akin, it makes you an idiot.
